| Recipe for Baked French Toast 1 stick of margarine 1 cup of brown sugar 2 tbsp. Of Karo dark syrup Melt above ingredients in a 9 x 13 pan. Slice French bread in slices 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Lay out bread over melted ingredients in pan. Mix together: 5 eggs 1 1/2 cups milk 1 tsp. Vanilla 1 tsp. Cinnamon Pour over bread in pan. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes uncovered. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving. Garnish plate with sliced fruit. Serve with ham or bacon. |
